Bryn and Golborne Veterinary Centre is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. Working across our two sites, you will become part of a welcoming and collaborative team where nurses play a key role in delivering high standards of patient and client care.
Role Details
This is a varied and hands‐on nursing role within a busy first opinion practice. You will be involved in all aspects of patient care, from theatre work to preventative healthcare support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Admitting and discharging patients for routine procedures
- Running nurse clinics and supporting preventative healthcare plans
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical procedures
- Maintaining accurate patient and medical records
- Performing routine laboratory procedures
- Assisting with radiography and ultrasound scanning
- Supporting inpatient care and recovery monitoring
- Ensuring correct disposal of clinical waste
- Maintaining stock control and rotation
- Ensuring SOPs and health and safety protocols are followed
You will also help clients make the most of our preventative healthcare plans and provide guidance on products and ongoing pet care.
About the Practice
Bryn and Golborne Veterinary Centre operates across two sites, Bryn Veterinary Centre and Golborne Veterinary Centre. You will work across both practices depending on the rota. Located in Ashton-in-Makerfield within the borough of Wigan, the area offers excellent transport links including a nearby train station, motorway access and plenty of countryside walks.

- 5 Veterinary Surgeons
- 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- 2 Student Veterinary Nurses
- 5 Client Care Advisors
- Practice Director
