Bar Staff in Bridgend

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, providing excellent service to our patrons. The position involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Applicants should possess strong organisational skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
• Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to food safety regulations
• Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
• Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
• Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe environment for colleagues and patrons

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
• Strong serving skills with a friendly and professional manner
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Excellent time management to ensure timely service delivery
• Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
• Personable attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 1-2 months

Pay: £12.21-£12.22 per hour
