Undergraduate Civil and Structural Engineers
We are looking for proactive, curious, and motivated undergraduate civil and structural engineers to join us for your one-year placement starting in summer 2026.
About The Role
You will work in our London office in the Civil and Structural engineering departments on a variety of projects across a range of industries. Your placement will be split between civil and structural engineering, giving you broad exposure to both disciplines and helping you shape your future career path.
Youll be given real responsibility from day one, contributing to designs through drawing work, analysis and report writing. You will also have the opportunity to visit live sites and participate in meetings with design teams and clients.
We are an integrated company so youll work closely with other disciplines as part of a team thats driving efficiency and innovation throughout the construction industry.
About You
- Well organised, careful, and solutions-based approach to solving design problems.
- Real enthusiasm for engineering design and keen to work in a challenging design environment on both the civil and structural elements of projects.
- Strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and creativity in developing efficient engineering solutions.
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to learn modelling software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- Interest in emerging technologies and innovations in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Experience And Education
- Enrolled on a professionally accredited civil or structural engineering degree course from a recognised UK university.
- Some experience working within a design office or the construction industry is preferred but not essential.
