Bryden Wood is looking for a Junior Security Consultant to join our international, dynamic team. Our integrated teams work across a broad range of sectors and we are looking for an experienced individual within the security field who can work on multiple projects concurrently, at varying stages of development - from concept through to delivery.

You will work closely with our security department and the wider team of disciplines to develop complex and exciting projects. You will also bring your specialist knowledge to work in direct contact with our clients, to enable collaboration and rapid scheme development.

Key Responsibilities

We require Applicants to work on a series of new projects, which include:

  • Supporting the delivery of physical security projects across a wide range of security disciplines, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, perimeter protection and associated security technologies. Applicants will have the opportunity to apply and develop their existing security knowledge and experience, while working alongside experienced consultants to support the design, assessment and delivery of effective security solutions.
  • Supporting the delivery of security assessments, vulnerability reviews and assurance activities for enterprise-scale, international data centre design projects across a range of client technologies and environments.
  • Working alongside experienced consultants to develop an understanding of client requirements and support the delivery of high-quality security solutions.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience within and a strong foundational understanding of physical security system principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally.
  • A proactive approach to learning, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage information accurately and keep tasks well structured.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn and develop within the physical security industry.
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft Windows, Word etc. Any knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit or AutoCAD a bonus.

About you:

  • You have a background within the security industry, either as a recent university graduate with a relevant degree or through practical hands-on experience in the physical security sector, such as installation, commissioning, maintenance or servicing. You will have a good understanding of security principles and systems, with experience that you can bring to the role and apply across a range of projects and security disciplines.
  • You have a proactive and positive attitude, enjoy learning new skills and are not afraid to ask questions.
  • You are passionate about your work, well organised, pay close attention to detail and take pride in completing tasks accurately and to a high standard.
