Bryans Salads Ltd is a third-generation family business based in the rural moss lands of Tarleton, Lancashire. We specialize in washed, ready-to-eat sliced lettuce and salad leaves, as well as high-quality ready-to-cook vegetable packs and salad bowls for the catering and food service industries. With over 20 years of operation, we have experienced rapid growth, and our dedicated team works year-round to ensure the freshest products reach our customers.
As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Team Leader to join our team.
The Role:
As Maintenance Engineer Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production machinery while leading and supporting a team of engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth production processes in adherence to legislative, HSE, and company standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the maintenance team to ensure production downtime is minimized
- Carrying out mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, setting, and repair tasks
- Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns efficiently
- Implementing and supporting continuous improvement activities to enhance reliability and efficiency
- Assisting in equipment improvements, maximizing production output, and enhancing safety
- Providing training to operators and maintenance staff to develop multi-skilled teams
What We're Looking For:
- Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer
- Ideally, Level 3 qualified in engineering
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable
- Experience in food production maintenance is beneficial but not a requirement
