About Bryan O'Sullivan Studio

Bryan O'Sullivan Studio is an internationally recognised interior design practice with studios in London and New York. Founded in 2013, the studio has grown into a collaborative team of around 60 talented professionals, delivering exceptional residential, hospitality, maritime and commercial interiors for clients across the globe.

Headquartered in London's Barbican, with a second studio in New York City, Bryan O'Sullivan Studio offers a creative, collaborative and ambitious working environment where excellence in design is matched by operational excellence.

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified accountant looking to make their first move into industry. The role offers broad exposure across all aspects of finance while supporting three companies within the group.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial management of the business, partnering with colleagues across the organisation and contributing to the continued success of an internationally recognised design studio.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will help maintain a robust, efficient and well-controlled finance function. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for the three entities within the group.
  • Analyse monthly financial performance, identifying key trends and variances.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Partner with department heads to provide financial insight and commercial support.
  • Maintain and strengthen financial controls and governance.
  • Manage the aged payables ledger and oversee supplier payments.
  • Monitor costs and support cost control initiatives across the business.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Prepare and issue client invoices and proactively follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external accountants and support the year-end statutory reporting process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to the Head of Finance as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, commercially minded and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

You will have:

  • A recently obtained ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and be looking for your first move into industry.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships across the business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to improve processes and contribute beyond your core responsibilities.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
