  • Assist Fee Earners
  • Post Completion and Post Exchange tasks
  • Land Registry application and requisitions
  • Setting up payments to complete transactions
  • Review and draft routine legal documents
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a residential conveyancing paralegal or post-completion and post-exchange assistant/manager
  • Paralegal Fellowship or Cilex Qualification (ex-fee earner that no longer wants caseload responsibility also acceptable subject to interview)
  • Extensive Experience as Conveyancing Paralegal

Role Overview:

As a Conveyancing Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners and handling a caseload of mostly residential property matters with perhaps the odd mixed transaction (i.e. with commercial elements). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills and career in conveyancing within a supportive and progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the management of a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from inception to completion.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents, including contracts, leases, letters and completion statements.
  • Conducting property searches and reporting findings to clients and fee earners.
  • Managing post-completion matters, including the submission of SDLT returns and applications to the Land Registry and indeed requisitions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Providing administrative support to the conveyancing team as required.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or as a Fee Earner that no longer wants the responsibility of a full case load under their name.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process for residential property transactions.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
Qualifications:
  • Moderate to Extensive Experience in a similar/same type of role
  • Completion of a conveyancing course or CILEX qualification or Fellowship of the Institute of Paralegals is an advantage.
