You will be an integral part of a busy, well‑respected business development team within a firm that values innovative thinking and fresh ideas. The role involves day‑to‑day ownership of delivering BD products for several practice areas within L&I, with the scope to develop and make the role your own. You’ll also contribute to work closely with a Firmwide project team and with a wider Marketing and Business Development group that includes specialists from PR, design, media, and big‑four accountancy backgrounds. The team benefits from buy‑in across the business, including senior management, who have a clear understanding of how our work drives the firm’s overall success. This role will involve working closely with L&I marketing and BD team in London and the US, and all other Marketing and Business Development teams globally, as well as with L&I Lawyers, Knowledge Development Lawyers and PAs.

  • Campaigns: Play a role on L&I led campaigns as required.
  • Events: In conjunction with the marketing events team, manage internal and external event coordination and execution for practice‑hosted webinars, conferences, seminars and receptions, as well as local functions for other practices and office functions, as necessary. Own the BD targeting and proactively work with lawyers on it, including the follow‑up/ROI.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Collaborate with the Research Intelligence Team and other firm resources to facilitate competitive intelligence and marketing research reports.
  • Marketing Materials: Work with the Creative Services Team on the creation of and maintenance of practice marketing materials, including infographics. Assist with the development and distribution of major reports and publications.
  • Directory and Award submissions: Working with our external consultant and other BCLP stakeholders, play a role in managing the group’s participation in relevant legal directories (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500). Write award submissions as required.
  • Dynamics (CRM) and Client Communications: Responsible for Dynamics (database) awareness initiatives across L&I. Send out client communications through Dynamics using Vuture software (in the absence of the BD hub support).
  • External Communications: Working with our PR team on the coverage of successful matters and initiatives, including coordinating social media posts.
  • Internal Communications: Proactively drive internal communications for allocated practice areas. Support internal communications initiatives as required.
