This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced Knowledge Lawyers, whilst supporting the implementation and development of legal technology solutions and enhancing the firm’s knowledge capabilities.

Position overview

  • The Global Knowledge Group captures, organizes, disseminates and leverages BCLP’s knowledge.
  • It comprises a Central Knowledge & AI Enablement team, a Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer team embedded in practice groups, and a Research, Information and Intelligence team.
  • This role operates across the CFT Department, supporting a wide range of legal areas such as M&A, corporate finance, commercial lending, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Embed the use of AI and technology within CFT work.
  • Maintain and create templates, practice notes, intranet pages and other guidance, updating knowledge content to reflect legal, procedural and market changes.
  • Prepare and manage the approval process for internal and external newsletters, blogs and guides, including summarizing legal developments.
  • Run and organize internal CFT technical and trainee training programmes and know‑how sessions.
  • Undertake legal research and assist with a range of other ongoing knowledge projects in the CFT Department.
  • Assist with the implementation and evaluation of new technology and tools.
  • Audit knowledge content on BCLP’s Knowledge systems, including BCLP Discover.
  • Monitor lawyer engagement with systems/processes by collecting usage data and creating visualized data reports.
  • Test new Knowledge systems and provide feedback on functionality.
  • Help maintain Knowledge intranet pages and training resources, and provide other support to colleagues across the Knowledge Solutions team.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally in Law.
  • Strong interest in legal technology and innovation.
  • AI literacy, ideally with experience of prompt engineering.
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Team player and proactive self‑starter who takes initiative.
  • Can‑do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous workstreams simultaneously.
  • Good drafting skills, along with strong written and oral communication skills.

Travel

This position requires hybrid working with a minimum of four days working in the London office per week.
