It starts with our people, which is why we need a Digital Marketing Executive to join our Marketing and Business Development team. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this role will support the management of BCLP’s websites, ensuring they remain fully functional, up to date, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The successful candidate will also contribute to BCLP’s online brand presence and support the firm’s wider marketing and business development initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Website
- Responsible for day-to-day content management on BCLP’s main website, microsites and digital marketing tools.
- Taking a hands‑on role in delivering more complex content work onto the website. Supporting the firm’s content posting activities contributing directly to both content management and technical requests when required.
- Supporting the PR team with news publication on the website.
- Ensuring website compliance with accessibility guidelines – fixing errors, advising colleagues, keeping an eye on content and making improvements to ensure a good user experience for all visitors including those with visual or other impairments.
- Together with the Digital Marketing Manager rolling out key web initiatives such as SEO‑led content, campaign launches and new designs.
- Running analytics reports on websites using Data Studio and Google Analytics.
- Understanding how the site is being used, and propose recommendations to improve overall site performance.
- Digital Marketing
- Over time become an expert in earning higher visitor traffic and click‑through rates and provide recommendations on how to improve performance, from paid advertising to improving user experience by mapping user journeys across online platforms.
- Working with the Social Media Manager to support on keywords and hashtag identification and usage in online content.
- Working with our business development and marketing campaigns teams to execute online strategies and assisting them in measuring and reporting on KPIs.
- Alongside the BCLP design team, working to deliver high‑impact graphics for the website.
- Training
- Training marketing and business development staff to perform basic content duties on the websites.
- Remaining up‑to‑date on new technologies and software as they are adopted by the firm and provide guidance on functionality and applicability.
- Operations
- Assisting with the agencies and vendors we work with, helping manage workflow across the teams.
- Following and setting up processes and governance around website and digital technologies and working with Security and General Counsel to ensure legal requirements are up‑to‑date on the website and online platforms we use.
- Supporting in tracking and recording expenditure for budget management.
Skills and experience required
- Degree or professional qualification with a digital marketing component preferred.
- Experience working with websites and online platforms, ideally gained over three years or more.
- A background in the legal sector or professional services is preferred.
- Experience managing a major website using a Content Management System (CMS) is required. While this role does not typically involve coding, a basic understanding of HTML and the technologies that underpin websites would be advantageous.
- Experience using Google Analytics and Google Data Studio is required.
- Experience of SEO and website accessibility best practices.
- A positive, proactive and can‑do attitude.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and communication skills.
