QHSE Officer Location: Isle of Wight, UK | Department: Quality, Health, Safety & Environment We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Officer to support safe, compliant and efficient operations across a dynamic site combining facilities, engineering workshops, laboratories, R&D, prototype and test environments. This is a varied role where you will help manage risks associated with both routine operations and innovative experimental activities. You will provide practical QHSE guidance, promote a strong safety culture and support compliance with UK legislation and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting inspections, audits and risk assessment reviews across facilities, workshops and R&D environments. * Supporting Safe Systems of Work, RAMS, permits-to-work and contractor management. * Managing COSHH, chemical inventories, laboratory safety and specialist equipment risks. * Supporting incident investigations, corrective actions and site HSE reporting. * Supporting emergency preparedness, drills and response arrangements. * Monitoring environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives. * Facilitating HSE meetings, forums, inductions and relevant training. * Maintaining QHSE documentation, records and equipment safety information. * Administering the site Equipment and Asset Management system, excluding planned/preventative maintenance and calibration activities. About you: You will have a NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) and experience in HSE across facilities, engineering, laboratory or R&D environments. Knowledge of COSHH, incident investigation, ISO 45001/14001, fire safety, environmental management, LOTO and risk assessment would be advantageous. You will be a confident communicator who can work effectively with scientists, engineers, technicians, contractors and managers, with a proactive, analytical and collaborative approach to safety
