Emergency, Crisis and Business Continuity Planning Manager | Folkestone | £55-75K + pension + private health + bonus + 28 days holiday + bank holidays + benefits. In this newly-created Emergency, Crisis, and Business Continuity Planning Manager role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing emergency and continuity responses, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to minimise the impact of major events on safety, health, and operations. Your key responsibilities will include risk assessment, formulating integrated response strategies, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and organising preparedness exercises. * Serve as the primary expert on Emergency Planning (EP), Crisis, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) * Ensure that plans are aligned with ISO Standards * Develop policies, prioritised list of plans, methodologies, and key contact information, naming each division's Incident Command or Incident Command System. * Support divisions with follow-up actions to ensure coherence and production efficiency. * Oversee deployment quality in each division, ensuring knowledge sharing with key collaborators and alignment in communication, procedures, and practices. * Organise and lead training exercises for emergency plans and conduct a review and evaluation (REX) to enhance the plans. * Establish regular communication channels covering project progress, working group dynamics, deliverables, and deployment status reporting for all stakeholders. Technical background * Emergency, Crisis, and Business Continuity experience in a complex, high-risk business – ideally rail or transportation * Membership of a relevant professional body with a commitment to CPD * Degree or diploma level qualification in a relevant subject * Demonstrable experience in: * Emergency Planning * Business Continuity * Disaster and Emergency Management * Risk Management * Security and Resilience * Knowledge of international standards, legislation and best practice * Ability to interpret and analyse complex data Want to find out more?
