Overview

An opportunity is now open for an established Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, Associate or Senior Associate (MRICS and RICS Registered) Valuation Surveyor to join our thriving, growing and collaborative National Valuation Team in West Midlands. This position has opened due to the number of client instructions we have received in the last few months.

Level: Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, Associate or Senior Associate.

Location: West Midlands metropolitan county and wider West Midlands region including the border counties of Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Our office covering the West Midlands is based in Birmingham City Centre.

Work Pattern: Hybrid, permanent, full-time but we are happy to consider flexible working approaches for this role. This is a field-based role.

Team: National Valuation Team, Red-Book Valuations. You will be joining a National Team that covers England, Wales and Scotland.

Salary: Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Bonus + Employee Benefits Package.

About the role

You will have a key role in delivering Red Book-compliant valuations for loan security purposes on commercial, residential, (owner occupied and investment) as well as commercial and residential development schemes. We undertake valuations on a diverse portfolio of commercial as well as residential property giving you the variety and scope to keep your work engaging and high-impact. You will have the opportunity to contribute to larger portfolio valuations and benefit from the shared knowledge of specialists across the UK.

This opportunity would suit someone who is a MRICS Chartered Surveyor and a RICS Registered Valuer to carry out Red Book valuations including those for secured loan purposes acting for High Street banks as well as National Lenders. We provide valuation advice on a national basis on specialist properties, including trade related as well as the leisure and care sectors.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out Red Book valuations of commercial and residential properties for secured lending and accounting purposes.
  • Fee Earner – maximise fee income.
  • Maximising efficiency and optimising the profitability of work for the team.
  • Supporting the team in providing high quality valuation advice to a wide range of clients.
  • Helping to secure business opportunities from client development for the company.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful you must have the following:

  • MRICS/FRICS qualified and RICS Registered Valuer status essential.
  • 2 years PQE valuation experience. Those close to this criteria would be considered.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.

Interview Process

An initial 10-15 minute confidential call about the role with the recruiter Naomi Corcoran. Followed by a one stage interview with the Valuation Faculty Head.
