The Service Engineer will take responsibility for the repair, maintenance, servicing and commissioning of all electrical equipment supported by the company at customers' global sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline product support ensuring customer satisfaction
- Investigate customer issues and develop solutions
- Carry out inspections/checks on own work as it proceeds and ensure equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to the customer
- Produce detailed work packages including risk and method statements for all work
- Carry out site surveys on customers' equipment for appraisal/reporting for costings purposes
- Liaise with the Service Manager whilst working on overseas jobs
- Provide technical support for the existing product support engineers
- Carry out in line with our specification product servicing/repair and upgrades
- Work safely within hazardous environments and ensure equipment is left safe and working
- Provide a point of contact for the customer, or their representative
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and work instructions, including health and safety
- Comply with and promote the company’s values and behaviours
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested

- Demonstrable knowledge of high voltage distribution and supply equipment with a good level of fault finding and repair knowledge
- Understanding and experience with electrical capital equipment and design
- Qualified to work in an electrical hazardous area and willing to undertake relevant training
- Ability to work with high level technical data with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work under own initiative as well as accurately keeping to defined plans and specifications
- Ability to prioritise workload and get it right the first time
- Ability to work independently with a good customer focus and commercial acumen
