What\βs the role?
Responsible for overseeing and performing advanced maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure that equipment, machinery, and systems operate effectively and efficiently in the manufacturing and commercial environment. This role also involves leading and mentoring apprentices and maintenance technicians while assisting with planning and executing maintenance programs, breakdown, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other technical issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stand-in for Lead Technician/ Chargehand when they are not on site.
- Mentor apprentices and new starters to the department.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform repairs on a wide range of equipment, including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, Compressed air systems, Lighting and production machinery.
- Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Provide technical assistance and training to operators and other staff.

- Electrical apprenticeship
- NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification
- Proven track record in a similar role
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
