What's the role?

The Lead Planner is responsible for the development, management, and continuous improvement of integrated project schedules across Engineering and Construction projects within the electrical transmission and distribution sector. Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, construction, and commercial functions to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage fully integrated Engineering and Construction project schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned to project scope and delivery strategy.
  • Lead the integration of cost and resource loading within Primavera P6.
  • Develop time-phased resource plans (labour, plant, materials) aligned to programme requirements.
  • Interface with clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to ensure alignment of programme deliverables.
  • Support bid and tender planning activities, including programme development and methodology input.
  • Act as the planning lead in project reviews, risk workshops, and progress meetings.

  • Strong Competence within Primavera P6
  • Strong Competence within Microsoft Project (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles, including budgeting and financial analysis
  • Proven experience as a project planner with expertise in cost-based project planning and earned value management.
