About The Role
To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the control accounts and the cash movements of the business, to represent the company to third parties, and to ensure the integrity and completeness of the accounts, the adherence to reporting deadlines and the continuous improvement of Finance processes.
- Accurate and timely processing of invoices (and associated internal processes)
- Timely resolution of invoice queries, working and communicating with both internal and external customers and other stakeholders, to ensure that payments are made in line with contractual requirements (Credit Control).
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the control accounts / sub ledgers to ensure all entries are relevant, accurate and recent.
- Master Data management within the ERP system (including maintenance of customer / supplier accounts, credit terms etc.).
- Day to day processing, reconciliation, and management / forecasting of the cash movements into the business, with appropriate approvals as per company policy.
- Day to day administration of the E-Banking system.
- Monthly preparation and communication of KPIs to aid decision making inside and outside the Finance Department.
- Preparation and posting of journals and cost reallocations as required.
- Support the Financial Accountant in the preparation of the Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of queried items.
- Support External and Internal audit processes as required.
- Support the Finance department process improvement projects.
- Provide holiday / absence cover for other team members.
Qualifications / Experience
- 3+ years’ experience of working in a Finance Function
- AAT an advantage
- Demonstrates accountability for own actions
- Confident in own ability and therefore dealing with others
