About The Role
Working within the Engineering Department the role of Electrical Contracts Designer is to produce the electrical designs for the application of BRUSH Switchgears products. This would include Schematic/Wiring Diagrams, varying in degrees of complexity.
- Working to instruction and/or specifications produced by the Applications Engineers
- Produce, design and/or modify drawings
- Create detailed schematic designs based on the customer requirements – designs to include CT/VT design, Electrical Interlocking Designs, Auto changeover Designs, control (Trip/Close) designs.
- Liaise directly with Manufacturing and Quality team members on issues relating to drawings.
- Assist in the production of contract job packs and other Manufacturing and Quality deliverables as required to meet on time delivery schedules.
- Assist engineers with initial design requirements and conceptualise plans and details to accurately convey manufacturing requirements.
- Provide engineering support and assistance to customers and internal departments

- Qualified to HNC level in an Electrical Engineering Discipline

- Knowledge of relevant industry switchgear standards
- A minimum of 3 years of working withing the switchgear industry
- Commercial experience and/or BRUSH Switchgear product knowledge considered.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
