What’s the role? Lead and manage all testing activities for Grid & Power Transformers up to 132kv, ensuring compliance with international and national standards. Responsible for overseeing test operations, customer interactions during FAT, and driving quality, safety, and performance within the test department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the balance of plant required for expansion of test facilities.
- Provide technical leadership in Impulse testing, Partial Discharge testing, and other advanced test methods.
- Lead analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of test failures, including Impulse and Partial Discharge issues.
- Coordinate fault finding and investigations in collaboration with design and production teams.
- Technical expert for all testing activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Test Engineers, Apprentices, and team members to build capability and performance.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant alternative.
- In-depth understanding of electrical circuits and IEEE/IEC/ENATS/ANSI Standards.
- Deep knowledge of power transformer construction, insulating systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transformer testing methods and equipment.
- Relevant experience in power and grid transformer testing.
- Experience of voltages up to 132kv.
- Proven experience in leading high functioning transformer test team.
