What’s the role? The role is part of the BRUSH Group IT Leadership team with the purpose of shaping and executing BRUSH’s enterprise architecture strategy. The role is responsible for defining the “To Be” state of our technology ecosystem. The role holder will establish and govern architecture standards, lead end-to-end solution design across platforms ensuring alignment with our standards, business goals and regulatory requirements. They will play a leading role in Digital Transformation projects at BRUSH, translating complex business needs into clear technology options and strategic recommendations, whilst also working with integration partners to evaluate solutions and highlight risks. They will develop and define architecture roadmaps and champion continual improvement of the organisation’s applications and technology portfolio.
We’re seeking a strong communicator with proven technical leadership and extensive experience in IT system design, implementation, and management. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, providing clear guidance, and setting expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the technical design of integrated solutions, aligned to enterprise architecture standards, business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project and support teams and vendors to define, document and then effectively communicate the solution options, designs and decisions to teams and stakeholders.
- Define and lead architecture vision, strategy, governance and standards to guide development across the BRUSH technology landscape.
- Mentor and guide both internal and external stakeholders, and other technical staff, ensuring work aligns with the overall BRUSH architecture strategy.
- Lead assessments of target company technology landscapes, including applications, infrastructure, data, and IT operating models.
- Identify key risks, technical debt, and value creation opportunities to inform decisions.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to present technical trade-offs and gain consensus, linking technology decisions to business outcomes.
- Working closely with BRUSH project teams, translating complex business needs into clear technology options and recommendations.
- Shape business change through architecture insight and innovation.
- Substantial experience in a similar senior enterprise architecture leadership role, including technology strategy, IT architecture principles & frameworks and their translation into solutions.
- Proven track record in delivering architecture strategy, defining / governing architecture standards.
- Demonstrate specialised depth and/or breadth of expertise in solution architecture and technical solution design covering hardware, software and integration technologies.
- Experience in Digital Transformation programmes (particularly across ERP implementations) and track record in M&A (separations, integrations).
- Strong experience designing and governing complex enterprise architectures.
- Knowledgeable in governance, risk, compliance and controls.
- Experience in developing IT roadmaps aligned to Company and IT strategies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are desirable.
