What’s the role? Reporting to the Test Manager, the main purpose of the role is to functionally test and inspect a range of Switchgear products using a range of both medium and high voltage test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Test Manager.
- Ensuring that all products are correctly tested to the applicable standard/specification as per test schedules.
- Operating medium and high voltage test equipment working safely at all times.
- Can fault find electrical components using a schematic.
- Carry out mechanical assembly and tightness testing etc.
- Carry out High Voltage AC and DC pressure testing.
- Perform Primary & Secondary Injection.

- HNC or Degree in an Electrical discipline desirable.
- Commercial/domestic electrical experience.
- Experience of Protection relays (MiCOM, Argus, SIPROTEC etc).
