Key Responsibilities:
- Take a lead with preparation of fee proposal documents, bids and fee calculations
- Lead the delivery of major projects
- Technical success of projects within your team
- Check profitability of projects within your team
- Responsibility for claiming fees for all additional work
- Responsible for reporting to the fee income meetings each month
- Provide good reliable cost effective design solutions
- Check designs and calculations
- Anticipate and pursue further business opportunities
- Provide a pro-active and measurable marketing contribution
- Arrange and deliver marketing presentations
- Identify opportunities for future business
- Take responsibility for market sector focus and reporting
- Maintain and enhance company reputation and profile within design team
- Liaise and communicate with group peers
- Research, development and innovation
- Co-ordination of in-house training as required
- Staff line management, including effective and timely performance appraisals
- Reporting to management and marketing meetings.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- BSc (Hons) or a BEng preferable but other experience routes will be considered for example those that have come from trade / construction site install background.
- Support will be provided for progression to Chartered Engineer status with IMechE, CIBSE or IET
- Strong technical skills with full awareness of mechanical and electrical building services and the interrelationship of MEP systems with Architecture and structural/civil engineering
- Proven background in the industry
- Experience of substantial, complex construction projects.
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of operating in an ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and email.
- Appreciation and experience of the Technical Standards and relevant British Standards.
- Strong teamwork, communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and low carbon design.
- Knowledge of Planning legislative requirements.
- Get involved in Business Development activities.
