Bruntons Aero Products, part of Carclo PLC, has been supporting the Aerospace industry since 1876, delivering precision components on time and right first time.
We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our Musselburgh manufacturing site. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role supports the day-to-day and month-end activities of the finance function, alongside delivering financial analysis to support business performance. This is a varied role with strong exposure to manufacturing operations and close collaboration with both finance and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support monthly management accounts and P&L reporting
- Complete month-end processes (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
- Reconcile and substantiate balance sheet accounts
- Work with budget holders to review performance and investigate variances
- Assist with cashflow forecasting, audit and statutory reporting
- Support VAT returns and wider finance activities
- Assist with credit control and transactional finance
- Manufacturing focus: Standard costing and variance analysis (labour, materials, overheads)
- Support BOM accuracy, routings and labour standards
- Analyse operational KPIs (yield, scrap, rework)
- Inventory accounting (WIP valuation, stock, obsolescence provisions)
- Support stock takes and cycle counts
What You Will Bring:
- Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA
- Experience in management accounts and month-end close, gained in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Adept at translating financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision making
- Strong Excel and ERP systems skills (ideally Business Central / Navison and Power BI)
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to work with non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Exposure to standard costing and operational finance
