BruntcliffeAcademy is seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Facilities Assistant tojoin our facilities team. This is a key role within the Academy, helping toensure that our site remains safe, secure, well-maintained and welcoming forstudents, staff and visitors at all times.
Workingunder the direction of the Site Manager and other senior colleagues, thesuccessful candidate will assist in providing maintenance, security andcaretaking services across the school site. Duties will include carrying outminor repairs, supporting site security through locking and unlockingbuildings, maintaining clean and safe indoor and outdoor environments,assisting with the movement of equipment and furniture, and supporting thesmooth operation of academy events and lettings. The role may also involvedriving the school minibus and working flexible or split shift patterns asrequired.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has practical skills and the ability to undertakebasic maintenance and repairs, including minor plumbing, unblocking drains andrepairing fixtures and furniture.
- Is able to work effectively as part of a team andmanage tasks to agreed timescales.
- Can meet the physical demands of the role and takepride in maintaining high standards across the school environment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to health and safety andmaintaining a secure school site.
- Is flexible in their approach to working hours,including supporting opening and closing procedures, academy events and holidaycover.
- Is professional, reliable and committed tocontributing positively to the wider life of the Academy.
