About The Role

Opportunity Reporting to the Group Head of ICT Infrastructure, the M365 Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our evolving Microsoft environment. This ranges from our on-premises domain, synchronisation services, through to EntraID, including designing and implementing secure solutions for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery. The engineer will also be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the existing on-prem infrastructure, the cloud infrastructure, as well as providing technical guidance to other members of the team. The engineer will either be a 3rd line engineer who is ready for the next step up, or an experienced engineer who is looking for a move into a predominantly Azure cloud environment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is experienced in working in a hybrid environment and working to an ever‑evolving roadmap. You’ll quickly gain a deep knowledge of our core systems and be a confident communicator when working directly with strong internal business personalities. You’ll be expected to have a broad understanding of Microsoft technology available within the market and be able to work closely with our business colleagues to understand their requests and map those to our existing technology/licenses.

Your Day‑to‑day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain core Microsoft platforms and configurations.
  • Act as the SME for Microsoft technologies, providing expert technical leadership.
  • Represent ICT in internal engagements, capturing requirements and shaping solutions.
  • Support day‑to‑day operations, migration, and reduction of on‑premises infrastructure.
  • Provide senior technical escalation for legacy and complex infrastructure solutions.
  • Deliver technical guidance and mentoring across the wider ICT team.
  • Act as a global escalation point for 1st- and 2nd‑line support, including out‑of‑hours.
  • Work closely with Project and ICT teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end system delivery.
  • Create and maintain clear technical and support documentation.
  • Partner with Security to ensure compliance with ISO security standards.
