This is an opportunity to join Brunswick's growing Energy & Resources practice at a time of significant change across the sector. From energy transition and resource security to industrial transformation and geopolitical shifts, our clients are navigating some of the most important challenges facing business and society today. We are looking for a Director to advise leading companies across energy, mining, metals, utilities, infrastructure, renewables and low‑carbon technologies. Working across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North America, you will help clients navigate complexity, engage key stakeholders and communicate with confidence during critical moments.
About the Role
As a Director, you will be a trusted adviser to senior executives, helping them navigate complex challenges and opportunities with clarity and confidence. You will work across a range of assignments spanning financial communications, transactions, corporate positioning, stakeholder engagement and issues management. Drawing on Brunswick's global expertise, you will help clients respond to evolving market dynamics and broader political, regulatory and societal developments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing senior strategic counsel on business‑critical communications and stakeholder issues.
- Advising clients on financial communications, capital markets activity, transactions and corporate positioning.
- Leading the development and delivery of integrated communications and engagement programmes.
- Building trusted relationships with senior executives and leadership teams.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting the development of colleagues.
- Contributing to business development through client relationship building, thought leadership and new opportunities.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong business judgement with a genuine interest in the forces reshaping the Energy & Resources sector. You may currently work in a strategic communications consultancy, financial communications advisory firm or corporate affairs agency. We would also welcome candidates from investor relations, capital markets, consulting, journalism, industry or other advisory backgrounds who can demonstrate strong judgement, stakeholder awareness and client management experience.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Significant experience in an advisory, communications, financial or industry‑facing role.
- Strong financial literacy and commercial awareness.
- Experience advising senior leaders on complex, high‑profile or business‑critical issues.
- Knowledge of the Energy & Resources sector, particularly areas such as utilities, power, renewables, energy transition, mining, metals or infrastructure.
- Strong relationship‑building and team leadership skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work across disciplines and geographies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commercial mindset and an interest in developing client relationships and new opportunities.
