Reporting to the Group Head of ICT Infrastructure, the Azure DevOps Engineer will be responsible for assisting the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Azure infrastructure and the surrounding platform for our Artificial Intelligence services. This includes designing and implementing secure solutions for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery. The engineer will also be working directly with key business partners to understand the business requirements and apply internal and industry-wide standards and best practices, as well as providing technical guidance to other members of the team.

The successful candidate will be either a 2nd/3rd line engineer who is focused on delivering modern AI-focused solutions using LLMs and container technologies through the portal as well as Bicep & ARM deployments. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is experienced in working in a hybrid environment and working to an ever-evolving roadmap. You will quickly gain a deep knowledge of our core systems and be a confident communicator when working directly with strong internal business personalities. You will be expected to have a broad understanding of core Microsoft and AI technologies available within the market and be expected to work closely with our business people to understand their requests and map those to our existing technology/licenses where appropriate.

About The Role: We are a key service provider to the business and deliver Internal ICT services to Brunswick colleagues across 27 offices around the world. Our ICT department is made up of several core teams: Service, Infrastructure, Applications, and our Programme management office. Working in close collaboration with the ICT Security team, our Security team integrates seamlessly into our processes and security-oriented projects.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Solutions Architects and internal business partners to design, implement and maintain our Azure-based infrastructure.
  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of our infrastructure.
  • Providing technical guidance to other members of the wider team.
  • Acting as an escalation point (including some out of hours work) for our 1st and 2nd line support teams globally to monitor and troubleshoot our infrastructure.
  • Working closely with the Project Management and other areas of the wider ICT team to ensure seamless integration of new systems end-to-end.
  • Developing, building, and maintaining internal documentation for the cloud infrastructure as well as transition documentation for internal support teams.
  • Working with the security team to ensure that we only deploy secure platforms and in compliance with ISO security standards.
