Brunswick Group is seeking an Insight Consultant (Associate) to join our Insight team to drive its media analytics research offer in the US. Reporting to the Global Head of Analytics in London, you will be based in our New York or Washington D.C. office, and play a key role in scoping, delivering and presenting research to clients, as well as championing the use of analytics and developing our client offer.

At Brunswick Insight, we support all phases of client engagement, from proposal to final deliverable. We provide the research, data and analysis that act as the strategic foundation of the Brunswick offer. We help our clients understand the voice of their stakeholders so that we can align strategy and communications with the expectations they need to meet.

About the Role

  • Manage analytics research projects for clients in the US, identifying key business questions and objectives, scoping and framing research project plans and leveraging the right tools and techniques.
  • Take accountability for project logistics end to end to ensure on-time and on-budget work streams and deliverables.
  • Promote the analytics offer within the US offices to build awareness of what the Insight practice can offer to support new and existing clients.
  • Deliver training to upskill colleagues, in collaboration with Global Head of Analytics.
  • Offer junior colleagues frequent feedback and coaching.
  • Identify innovative methodologies and tools that will enhance the offer, as well as opportunities for the integration of analytics into client mandates.
  • Build close relationships with clients and colleagues, as a trusted partner and advisor.

What We’re Looking For

  • An experienced professional, well-versed in research methods such as media evaluation, social media analysis, influencer mapping, audience analytics.
  • Someone with a keen interest in current affairs and the issues that companies are currently dealing with.
  • An experienced user of software/databases for analyzing content such as news coverage, social media posts, financial documents, LLM responses, etc.
  • Familiar with the traditional media landscape and have a good understanding of how social media works.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify business questions, capture and analyze relevant data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • A strong communicator who can present complicated findings clearly.
  • Comfortable working as part of a global team and managing/developing internal and external relationships.
  • Self-directed with the ability to exercise good judgment in difficult situations.
  • Motivated, collaborative and intellectually curious, with a passion for innovation.
  • Able to practice discretion with confidential client matters.
  • Strong project management skills, attentive to detail.
  • Proactive, and can adapt quickly to change.

Ideal Candidate

  • 6+ years of experience in traditional and social media analytics, with some research agency or consultancy experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate client needs into actionable plans.
  • Extensive experience using off-the-shelf media analytics research tools.
  • Strong writing skills; the ability to summarize complex data into succinct findings.
  • Client management experience, including developing and pitching for new business.
  • An understanding of corporate and financial communications.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Intermediate/advanced level proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • (Desirable) Experience with text-analytics tools (Python, Stata, R, etc).
