The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will lead a dynamic, fast‑paced kitchen, nurture a high‑performing team, and collaborate closely with the pub manager to drive the business forward.
Compensation
Package up to £58,000 per year, including TRONC and profit share paid monthly based on pub performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal menus with our Executive Chefs.
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring high food quality, safety, and presentation.
- Maintain food culture and uphold brand standards across the pub.
- Collaborate with the pub manager to meet business targets and control costs.
- Lead and mentor the kitchen team, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Monitor stock, GP calculations, and labour controls to keep the kitchen efficient and profitable.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Head Chef, Chef Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Senior Sous Chef in a busy, premium fresh‑food environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to nurture and develop teams.
- Excellent business acumen and the ability to manage inventory, costs, and staffing.
- Creativity and passion for food, with a commitment to high standards of quality and presentation.
