Brunning and Price is a group of 89 pub restaurants (and counting) spanning from the Lake District to the South Coast. Each pub has its own style and flavour, though you'll find freshly cooked food, local cask ales, quality wines and a back bar bursting full of malt whiskies, gins and rums throughout. In a nutshell, we run informal places for people who like to meet, eat, drink and talk in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

We’re looking for a talented and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our growing pub company. This is a key role, responsible for overseeing financial operations across our pubs, and you'll work closely with our operations team to provide financial insights that drive performance and support strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality or retail, a strong understanding of multi-site financial management, and qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. Key Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact for the Operations & Pub management teams
  • Ownership of all Key P&L lines (Sales, Labour, COGS)
  • Prepare and analyse reports, highlight trends, variances and opportunities for growth or efficiencies
  • Key stakeholder in the budget & forecast processes
  • Develop and maintain KPI’s to track performance
  • Support strategic planning and decision making
  • Support on wider projects, including new systems and process change

Experience and Skills to include

  • Typically 5 years in Finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or commercial-facing role
  • Experience influencing non-financial stakeholders and providing commercially relevant insights to support operational decision-making is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
  • Strong track record in financial modelling, scenario planning and profitability analysis
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ability to think of different solutions to a problem
  • Capable of articulating findings in a clear and understandable way
  • Confident dealing with senior stakeholders in the business
  • Self-starter with ability to work on their own initiative
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA or equivalent)
