We are seeking a Production Operator to join an automated production plant based in Manchester on a 6-month contract with a leading global energy and petrochemicals enterprise, operating across more than 90 countries worldwide.
This organisation manages the full spectrum of the energy value chain—spanning upstream exploration, production of oil, natural gas, and LNG, all the way to downstream refining, petrochemical manufacturing, and global marketing.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated plant production systems per company procedures, including SCADA
- Execute loading/unloading tasks using FLT and road tanker systems
- Collaborate with multiple departments—via telephone, email, and face-to-face—to support production flow
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems
- Follow detailed SOPs and adhere to operational controls
- Provide a customer-focused mindset and flexible approach to tasks
- Operate independently with minimal supervision and adapt to additional cross-department duties
What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating automated production systems; SCADA experience advantageous
- Proficient with FLTs and road tanker operations
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with digital control systems
