Brunel are seeking an Invoice Controller / Document Controller to join a major energy infrastructure project in Flintshire, North Wales.
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong document control and administrative experience, particularly around invoice management, records tracking, and supporting project controls processes.
Working as part of a large project team, you will be responsible for ensuring invoices are accurately received, reviewed, recorded, and processed, maintaining clear documentation and supporting the timely recovery of project costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and track incoming invoices from suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate invoice registers and supporting documentation
- Prepare invoice back-up documentation for client cost recovery and back-charging purposes
- Ensure all records are filed, controlled, and maintained in accordance with project procedures
- Generate invoice status reports and provide regular updates to project stakeholders
- Liaise with finance, procurement, commercial, and project teams to resolve invoice-related queries
- Support document control activities and ensure project records remain accurate and auditable
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller, Invoice Controller, Project Administrator, or similar
- Experience handling invoices, project documentation, or financial record
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skill
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and document management system
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems would be advantageous
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and manage competing priorities
