About the Role We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Engineer to join our growing team.
This role involves carrying out maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and remedial works on a range of automated systems including gates, barriers, doors and shutters across a nationwide customer base.
This position would suit an engineer who is self-driven, organised and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.
We are seeking someone with ambition, a positive attitude and a desire to develop their career while contributing to the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
- Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.
- Repair and remedial works on automated systems.
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards.
- Accurate completion of service records and reports.
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with automated gates, barriers, doors, shutters or similar automation systems.
- Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability.
- Good understanding of relevant safety standards and industry best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- DHF Level 2 qualification.
- Gate Safe IOSH certification.
- Manufacturer training with leading automation providers.
