The Department of Psychology at Brunel University London is a research-active community delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and expanding its clinical provision. The Senior Lecturer/Reader will support the strategic development of clinical and mental health provision within the department.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, mental health and related topics; design and deliver modules, mark, supervise students, and develop new clinically-oriented provision.
- Maintain an internationally recognised research programme, producing high-quality outputs and demonstrating sustained contribution to internationally excellent research.
- Secure, and where appropriate lead, external research funding in line with departmental priorities.
- Develop external partnerships with clinical, NHS and third-sector organisations to support research collaboration, knowledge exchange and student opportunities such as placements and applied learning.
- Contribute to departmental leadership commensurate with seniority, including programme or module leadership, mentoring colleagues and involvement in strategic initiatives related to the expansion of clinical provision.
- Support broader academic life through administrative responsibilities, quality assurance and activities supporting student experience and engagement.
Qualifications
Applicants should have expertise in clinical psychology, counselling psychology or mental health research and practice, particularly with work that has clear clinical or translational relevance to mental health, ageing and wellbeing.
