Applications are invited for a Project Officer role within the Heat Pipe Research Group at Brunel University London. The Project Officer will play a key role in delivering the technical objectives of the StreamStep EU project, focusing on experimental research in innovative heat exchanger design and validation. Reporting to the academic lead, the postholder will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, analysing experimental data, and providing support for a range of project activities including report preparation, milestone tracking, and communication and dissemination.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Project Officer will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality experimental data and research outputs that contribute to the overall success of the project. The role involves hands-on work in laboratory and pilot-scale environments, liaising with project partners, and maintaining project documentation and communication channels. The postholder will also help facilitate the delivery of project events, meetings, and publications, contributing to the visibility and impact of the College’s research agenda in renewable energy and sustainability.

Essential criteria:

  • MSC (or equivalent)
  • Part-time position – 14 hours per week
  • Fixed-term contract – 12 months
  • Salary: Grade 7, £40,757–£44,179 (inclusive of London Weighting) with potential to progress to £47,921 per annum
  • Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
