As the Postgraduate Researcher (PGR) Training and Development Specialist, you will lead the design and delivery of a sector‑leading professional development programme for Brunel’s doctoral research community. You will shape the annual programme of workshops, courses and development opportunities, and personally deliver engaging training sessions that support researcher growth and success. You will also ensure the programme aligns with the Researcher Development Framework (RDF) 2025 and Concordat commitments. Using your collaborative and proactive approach, you will work in partnership with academic and professional services colleagues to maximise engagement and participation across the PGR community. You will develop national partnerships and connections that enable Brunel doctoral researchers to access wider training, networking and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of a sector‑leading professional development programme for Brunel’s doctoral research community.
  • Shape the annual programme of workshops, courses and development opportunities, and personally deliver engaging training sessions.
  • Ensure the programme aligns with the Researcher Development Framework (RDF) 2025 and Concordat commitments.
  • Work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to maximise engagement and participation across the PGR community.
  • Develop national partnerships and connections to enable doctoral researchers access wider training, networking and professional development opportunities.

Location & Working Hours

  • Location: Brunel University of London, Uxbridge Campus
  • Hours: Part‑time 0.7 FTE (24.5 hours)

Contract & Salary

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: Grade 8 from £45,390 to £58,263 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £65,236 per annum.
