Salary: Grade 8 from £45,990 – £59,043 per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £66,114 through sustained exceptional contribution.

Hours: 35 hours per week.

Contract Type: Permanent

Overview: Brunel Medical School first opened in September 2022. The MBBS programme includes early patient clinical contact, Team‑Based Learning (TBL) and programmatic assessment. Digital technologies are used to enhance learning, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are embedded throughout.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Year 1 Lead for the 4‑year MBBS programme and coordinate across academic and administrative stakeholders.
  • Lead written assessment for Phase 1 (Years 1 and 2) of the MBBS programme.
  • Design, deliver and quality‑manage undergraduate Year 1 medical education, including all modules and liaising with module leads.
  • Collaborate with the Phase 1 Lead and Year 2 Lead to review and refresh curriculum.
  • Support additional teaching activities such as Team‑Based Learning, the personal tutor system, Multiple Mini Interviews and OSCEs.
  • Participate in the ongoing General Medical Council (GMC) accreditation process.
  • Adapt to varying leadership roles and work per programme requirements.

Qualifications: Academic with a medically related scientific background, with demonstrated experience in educational leadership in a university‑affiliated role.
