Brunel Language Centre (BLC) of Brunel University of London offers a teaching opportunity in China for a well‑qualified and motivated English for Academic Purposes (EAP) practitioner who is passionate about learning and teaching.
Location and Duration
Based in China for the duration of a fixed‑term 1‑year contract, the post-holder will work with:
- North China University of Technology (NCUT), Beijing, People’s Republic of China
- Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT), Chongqing, People’s Republic of China
- Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) – starting September.
Teaching and assessment periods are divided into two 16‑week blocks: Semester 1 (14 September 2026 to 1 January 2027) and Semester 2 (1 March 2027 to 18 June 2027). The post‑holder will be on annual leave during the mid‑June to mid‑September break.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of a suite of English programmes in Transnational Education (TNE) with NCUT, CQUPT or WUT.
- Work closely with the partnering universities and with the Brunel Language Centre.
- Deliver engaging lessons using teaching technologies and latest software.
- Demonstrate empathy for differing cultures and drive improvements in the student experience of undergraduate students.
- Act as a self‑starter in a busy working environment, exercising strong decision‑making skills.
