We are seeking an experienced Careers Consultant to join the Student Professional Development Department (SPD) at Brunel University London, as part of the Careers team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students and graduates across the College of Arts, Law and Social Sciences, and Brunel Business School.
- Deliver one‑to‑one guidance, talks and workshops, both face‑to‑face and virtual.
- Support career development initiatives and engage with employers to increase employability, especially for under‑represented groups.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technological advances and AI platforms to support students.
- Build relationships with employers and promote a range of employment opportunities nationally and internationally.
Qualifications
- Degree level education and a recognised careers guidance/coaching qualification.
- In‑depth experience of careers guidance/coaching in a higher education setting.
- Understanding of the recruitment market for graduates.
- Excellent networking, communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility, positive attitude and ability to work across disciplines.
Salary
Grade 8, £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London weighting, potential progression to £65,236 per annum inclusive of London weighting through exceptional contribution.
Hours & Contract
Full‑time; 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover.
Location
Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus.
