Salary:
- Research Assistant: Grade R1, £36,640 - £38,638 per annum inclusive of London Weighting (pro‑rate for part‑time). Potential to progress to £39,682 per annum.
- Research Fellow: Grade R1, £40,757 - £44,179 per annum inclusive of London Weighting (pro‑rate for part‑time). Potential to progress to £47,921 per annum.
Hours: Part‑time, 17.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed‑term, 24 months
Responsibilities:
- Advance modelling and simulation activities for the Enhancement Project.
- Support development and deployment of industrial thermal‑management solutions.
- Apply engineering expertise to real‑world systems, conduct practical investigations and performance assessments.
- Contribute to technical interpretation of results to inform industrial implementation and decision‑making.
- Prepare technical deliverables, research reports, milestone documentation for the European Commission.
- Collaborate with internal academic teams and European partners to ensure high‑standard delivery and integration of simulation work packages.
- Drive methodological development and support integration of modelling outputs into reporting and dissemination.
Qualifications:
- Experience in simulation‑based research, particularly in Multiphysics modelling.
- Strong interest in applied engineering and computational science.
- Detail‑oriented researcher with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
