Overview
The Professional Work Experience (PWE) Team is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Employer Engagement Adviser to be the first point of contact for employers wanting to engage with the Student Professional Development (SPD) Team.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison with employers for placements, internships, careers, employability, volunteers and Entrepreneur Hub.
- Organise university fairs and employer presentations, contributing to the Employer and Community Liaison areas of the SPD.
- Develop and maintain administrative systems to enable SPD systems and technology enhancement.
- Work cross‑departmentally to cross‑sell SPD employability programmes to employers, generating new contacts yearly through networking, cold‑calling and internet research.
- Occasional weekend work expected.
Qualifications
- Experience engaging with employers in sourcing talent for recruitment programmes.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships in a challenging job market.
- Advanced IT skills and experience developing administrative systems.
- Strong communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
