Description of the Job Includes

  • To provide invigilation during the University’s examination periods. Ad-hoc invigilation may be required during term time.

2026 Exam Dates

  • 5th – 29th May 2026
  • 17th – 21st August 2026

Applicants must be available to work for three or more days per week (minimum 21 hours) during examination periods.

Applicants must also be available for an on-site (Brunel University Campus) interview between Wednesday 11th March to Friday 13th March.

To start and finish examinations, according to the guidelines and announcement scripts, and including supervision of candidate arrival and departure.

To ensure examinations are conducted according to the guidelines and to identify potential cases of malpractice.

To support both paper-based and digital in-person examinations on campus.

Skills Required Include

  • Need to demonstrate relevant professional experience, either within education or more generally. Retired individuals are welcome to apply; students are not normally considered and are required to declare their students status on the application form.
  • Reliability, including self- and time-management skills, and proactivity.
  • Demonstrably good organisational and administrative skills, and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with computers in order to interact with and assist students taking digital examinations. Training will be provided.
  • Role requires long periods of standing and walking.
  • This post is not suitable for current Brunel Students.
