An opportunity has arisen within the Student Finance Office for an enthusiastic individual to join the team managing the invoicing and payment reconciliation for student fees, including tuition and accommodation charges. The Student Finance Office also manages student refunds and agrees payment plans where appropriate. This is an interesting and varied role and will give the opportunity for interaction with other key teams across the University to add value to the student experience.

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Grade 5 from £29,450 to £33,313 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £35,054 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution (pro-rata if part-time).

Note: The University is committed to a hybrid working approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage invoicing and payment reconciliation for student fees, including tuition and accommodation charges.
  • Assist with student refunds and agreement of payment plans where appropriate.
  • Provide proactive customer service and accurate, professional advice to a wide range of customers.
  • Apply knowledge of Accounts Receivable practices and manage own workload as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results.
