The Student Centre are seeking to appoint a hardworking individual to join an established team of Student Advisers. The information the Student Centre provides is extensive; it is the initial point of contact for all students in connection with their University record, including functions related to Registry, Finance, Student Visas, Accommodation, Colleges and other services within the Student Services Department.
Your responsibilities as a Student Adviser will include ensuring that the department provides a professional, welcoming, reliable, accessible and effective service to all its users as well as providing guidance, information and administration. You must have experience of working in a multi-functional team as well as dealing with customers and/or stakeholders from various sectors.
The post holder will be required to respond to a variety of enquiries and administration across a continually growing range of services. The ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines is essential. In addition, you will have excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deal with people professionally and courteously at all times.
This role depends on the confident use of multiple databases, often simultaneously; therefore, good IT skills are essential as well as knowledge of using Microsoft applications.
This is an excellent opportunity if you have a particular interest in the Student Service provision and want to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. This is a customer service role based in the office all the time and not eligible for hybrid working.
