In partnership with care providers, regulators, students and local and global stakeholders, we work to enhance the flourishing of individuals, families and communities.
We invite applications for a Research Fellow to work in a team based at Brunel University of London delivering a 5-year project ‘Planning and Delivering Social Care Theme’, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Thames Valley (TV) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC). TV ARC is based within the Department of Psychiatry at Oxford University. The researcher reports to theme Co‑leaders Professor Fiona Verity and Dr Wendy Martin.
The focus of the Theme is:
- Collaborative and involves co‑design with local communities, third sector organisations and local authorities in North West London;
- Applied in creating an evidence‑base for social care practice, commissioning decisions and organisational practices.
The focus is: Equity and Quality in Care Provision, Prevention in Social Care, and Integrated Hospital / Community Care. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team undertaking high quality collaborative and applied research in social care, to lead and deliver on key research activities, demonstrate independence and high‑level expertise, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the ARC, partner institutions, and research groups.
We are interested in applications from researchers with a PhD who have qualitative or quantitative research skills or have skills in both qualitative and quantitative research. The approach to our research is collaborative and participatory requiring a commitment to equality and valuing diversity, engagement and effective communication with local organisations and communities. Social care knowledge is necessary.
