Salary:
- Research Assistant: Grade R1, £36,640–£38,638 per annum inclusive of London Weighting; potential to progress to £39,682.
- Research Fellow: Grade R1, £40,757–£44,179 per annum inclusive of London Weighting; potential to progress to £47,921.
Hours & Contract: Part‑time, 17.5 hours per week; Fixed‑term for 24 months.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and deployment of industrial thermal‑management solutions.
- Conduct practical investigations and performance assessments of real‑world systems.
- Advance modelling and simulation activities for the Enhancement Project.
- Contribute to technical interpretation of results to inform industrial implementation and decision‑making.
- Prepare technical deliverables, research reports, and milestone documentation for the European Commission.
- Collaborate with internal academic teams and European partners to deliver high‑standard simulation work packages.
- Ensure alignment of simulation‑focused work packages with scientific objectives.
- Support the integration of modelling outputs into reporting and dissemination.
Qualifications:
- Experience in simulation‑based research, particularly in multiphysics modelling.
- Strong interest in applied engineering and computational science.
- Detail‑oriented researcher with ability to develop and support methodological advancements.
- Experience collaborating with international research consortia is advantageous.
