Salary:

  • Research Assistant: Grade R1, ÂŁ36,640–£38,638 per annum inclusive of London Weighting; potential to progress to ÂŁ39,682.
  • Research Fellow: Grade R1, ÂŁ40,757–£44,179 per annum inclusive of London Weighting; potential to progress to ÂŁ47,921.

Hours & Contract: Part‑time, 17.5 hours per week; Fixed‑term for 24 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and deployment of industrial thermal‑management solutions.
  • Conduct practical investigations and performance assessments of real‑world systems.
  • Advance modelling and simulation activities for the Enhancement Project.
  • Contribute to technical interpretation of results to inform industrial implementation and decision‑making.
  • Prepare technical deliverables, research reports, and milestone documentation for the European Commission.
  • Collaborate with internal academic teams and European partners to deliver high‑standard simulation work packages.
  • Ensure alignment of simulation‑focused work packages with scientific objectives.
  • Support the integration of modelling outputs into reporting and dissemination.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in simulation‑based research, particularly in multiphysics modelling.
  • Strong interest in applied engineering and computational science.
  • Detail‑oriented researcher with ability to develop and support methodological advancements.
  • Experience collaborating with international research consortia is advantageous.
