Salary: Grade 8 from £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £65,236 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.

Description of the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and collegial Lecturer (Education) in Accounting to join our vibrant academic community. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to teach across a broad spectrum of accounting subjects, including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation. Expertise in emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence applications in accounting and finance is particularly desirable, alongside specialist areas such as forensic accounting or sustainability accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, research-informed, practice-oriented teaching and student support across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, innovative teaching and assessment practices.
  • Engage actively in student engagement and recruitment activities.
  • Support the collaborative culture of the Department.
  • Focus on real-world applications and graduate employability.

Requirements

  • Ability to teach across financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and AI applications in accounting and finance.
  • Specialist experience in forensic accounting or sustainability accounting preferred.
