Overview

We are recruiting a new Clinical Senior Lecturer (Educ) Lead for ePortfolio & Professional Values & Behaviours post on a permanent basis. In addition, the Senior Clinical Lecturer will be expected to fulfil the role of Academic Lead for Year 4, for a 5-year duration, with potential to extend.

Brunel Medical School welcomed its first intake of students in September 2022. The MBBS programme includes team-based learning, programmatic assessment & early patient clinical contact in years 1&2. Role and Responsibilities

  • Be a senior clinician, GMC registered with a licence to practice, and in practice as a GP or consultant.
  • Demonstrate experience in educational leadership with a track record of high-quality undergraduate medical education, preferably in a university-affiliated role.
  • Ideally have experience of student selection, assessment and student support.
  • Take on a significant external-facing role, collaborating with Directors of Undergraduate Education (DUEs), Specialty Leads and Module Leads at partner NHS Trusts affiliated with BMS.
  • Contribute to areas of medical education such as TBL, the House Tutor system, Multiple Mini Interviewing and OSCE.
  • Participate in the ongoing General Medical Council (GMC) accreditation process.

Qualifications

  • GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • Experience in educational leadership and undergraduate medical education.
  • Experience with student selection, assessment and student support (desirable).
