An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Salaried GP to join Brunel Medical Centre, a friendly, innovative and growing teaching practice based on the Brunel University campus. With a list size of just over 12,000 patients, our diverse and predominantly young population offers a unique and rewarding clinical environment with low home visiting rates.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide high-quality patient-centred care through triage, telephone and face-to-face consultations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Contribute to teaching, clinical meetings and service development
- Work collaboratively within the practice and Synergy PCN

Skills:
- Proven experience as a General Practitioner with strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
- Strong phone etiquette for patient consultations and follow-up calls
- Ability to supervise junior staff or medical students when necessary
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems (POS or similar platforms) for documentation

- Basic math and retail math skills for handling medication calculations or billing procedures
- Proficiency in merchandising, stocking, and retail sales environments is a plus for community outreach initiatives

Person Specification:
- Primary medical qualification (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent)
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Inclusion on the GMC GP Register
- Licence to practise
- Evidence of completion of GP Specialty Training (CCT) or equivalent (or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview)
- On a Performers List (or eligible for inclusion)
- Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP)
- Additional postgraduate qualification (e.g. Diploma in Child Health, Minor Surgery, Women's Health, Dermatology etc.)
- Teaching or training qualification
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
Experience:
- Experience of working in UK General Practice (including during GP Specialty Training)
- Experience of managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in primary care
- Experience of clinical risk management and safeguarding procedures
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience using clinical IT systems (e.g. EMIS, SystmOne or similar)
- Evidence of participation in clinical audit and quality improvement activity
- Post-CCT experience as a GP
- Experience of leading or developing clinical services
- Experience in teaching or supervising medical students, GP trainees, or allied health professionals
- Experience in minor surgery or specialist clinics (e.g. women's health, diabetes, dermatology)
- Experience of working in a university or training practice environment
