An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Timetabling Team for a Timetabling Officer; the ideal candidate must have good IT, data management and people skills, and the ability to work within a fast‑developing team.

Overview

You will be part of the team that provides critical support services for programme data management, teaching and examinations timetables, and room booking. There will also be opportunity to contribute to developments to the scheduling, publishing and reporting of timetable data.

Responsibilities

  • Production, collection, and processing of data for teaching timetables to meet academic requirements for delivery of teaching and assessment.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of teaching space across the institution.
  • Maintain programme and course information.
  • Contribute to developments of scheduling, publishing and reporting of timetable data.
  • Support the publication of live data online.

Qualifications

  • Good IT and office knowledge; experience with scheduling systems (Scientia knowledge an advantage).
  • Experience with corporate records and scheduling systems; experience in logistics or data management valuable.
  • Well‑established customer service, communication and reporting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to undertake documentation and training activities.
  • Experience in a service‑oriented environment; some experience in higher education desirable.
  • Good educational qualification (at least A‑level or equivalent) required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, workload, and meeting deadlines.

Benefits & Working Conditions

  • Full‑time (pro‑rata part‑time).
  • Permanent contract and full‑time hours.
  • Salary: Grade 5 from £29,450 to £33,313 inclusive of London weighting, with potential to progress to £35,054 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

  • Hybrid working approach.
